Learn about the theory and practice of mediation. This 15-hour training series is offered twice a year in the fall and spring semesters. Completion of this training qualifies you to volunteer with AAMS as a community mediator.

• Free to all Ohio University students, faculty, and staff
• $200 for non-OU affiliates
  • Thanks to the generosity of the Athens County Foundation, a limited number of FREE spots are available for non-OU-affiliated community members.

• 2026 summer training is on Saturday and Sunday, July 18th and 19th, at Athens Photo Project (17 Blue Line Dr.)
• 2026 fall training is in-person on Friday mornings at Baker Hall on the Ohio University campus from 9-12am on October 16, 23, 30, 6, 13 and 20.
